The new Avery YMCA Family Pool addition is located at 15120 Wallin Drive in Plainfield, Illinois. This 15,000 sf. addition is designed to feature a family-like indoor water park including double slides, plunge pool, lazy river float area, toddler slide and play areas. The facility will include a 4,500 sf. multipurpose room (Conference/Party room). The pool facility is constructed of precast concrete panels; the multipurpose room is constructed of structural steel and CMUs.  All work connected to the pool construction follows strict guidelines set by the Illinois Department of Health. The project also includes structural renovations and finish work to the existing YMCA facility at the connecting point of the two buildings.  Construction started in April of 2008 and is scheduled for completion at the end of October 2008.
