The South Water Purification Plant is one of two water purification plants that serve nearly 5 million people in the City of Chicago and 118 suburbs. The plant is undergoing major renovations, improvements and new construction. Sollitt Construction was hired as the prime General Contractor to completely upgrade the chlorine process system. Work is scheduled for completion in late summer of 2009.
