Engine Company 109 is located at 2343 S. Kedzie Avenue in Chicago.  This new one story 14,000 sf. facility consists of steel framing with exterior brick veneer, a burnished block interior and terrazzo flooring.  The building includes:

  • Accommodations for up to 20 fire fighters and four officer quarters

  • Apparatus bay to store all vehicles

  • Three inbound doors and three outbound doors

  • 52 foot circular driveway

  • On site landscaping and fenced parking for 31 vehicles

LEED Features:
This building will incorporate the sustainable design criteria required by the USGBC to achieve LEED "Silver" Certification.
