Description

This work entailed the complete replacement of the inefficient HVAC systems in two, two-story lab buildings for the USDA in Ames Iowa. Each building housed seven labs that needed to remain in operation during the renovation.  Phasing of the work allowed our team to sequence the work from lab to lab bring completed labs back on line without complete shutdown. The work included the demolition, remediation and replacement of the existing mechanical systems including duct work and piping systems. New cooling coil, new pump house with new piping and multiple temperature control systems. Additi-

onal site excavation was required for the chilled water supplies were installed. The project was completed on time.
