With Sollitt as CM the Pre-Construction Services include Scheduling, Bid Packages Development, Conducting Pre-Bid and Post-Bid Meetings, Competitive Bid Promotion, Long Lead Item and Award Recommendations.
As CM, we take contractual responsibility for the performance and completion of all construction activities using our Constructability Reports, Quality Control Programs and Safety Plans. We aim to smoothly guide the project to completion including Training and Warranty Management.
As a general contractor we a fully capable of overseeing the coordination of your project. We will assess the project-specific documents and respond to the Owner’s plans and specifications. We will do a site visit to get a better understanding of the project. Sollitt will assume the responsibility for the timely completion of the project based upon a lump sum General Contractor contract.
LEED / Sustainability Construction
Sollitt has been involved in many of the Chicago’s area’s FIRST LEED projects. Sollitt has worked on over 20 LEED projects and is one of the area’s leading sustainable building contractors. Our people are LEED Accredited Professionals who thoroughly understand “green” products and materials, and serves as helpful resources. To date we have attained many LEED Certifications achievements including Platinum, Gold and Silver Certifications.
The earliest integration of Sollitt’s Construction knowledge into the Pre-Construction planning and design of any project produces the greatest benefits.
The Integrated Project Delivery Method includes Sollitt as a valued team member in the design process allowing us to provide accurately estimated costs produced in part by our access to relationships within the subcontracting community along with utilization of our vast historical cost information and lessons learned.
Building Information Modeling (BIM)
Sollitt has invested in the staff, hardware, software, and training so that we can interface in a meaningful manner with architects and subcontractors who are likewise familiar with these tools. We are able to provide Modeling Services from the Electronic Documents of Service provided by the Architect and Engineer.
Sollitt will engage in a problem solving activity that focuses on reducing costs while maintaining product performance which improves overall value. It is our standard procedure to take responsibility in providing cost analysis and options in order for the Team to make informed decisions for the emerging design. Value Engineering and Management is an ongoing process that doesn’t end when the project bids.
