The large-scale expansion and renovation of the main entrance, lobby, and admitting areas required careful attention to phasing and traffic patterns in order to accommodate ongoing operations at this busy institution. A new main entrance and vestibule were constructed and the entire project area provided with high-level finishes, including terrazzo flooring and stainless steel base. The existing gift shop, café, admitting, and family support areas were relocated and expanded. The facility was designed to improve traffic flows and to provide greater convenience to families and patients entering the hospital.
