Acute Rehabilitation Facility

Architect: RTKL Associates, Inc.
The fifth floor of Foster McGraw Hall was renovated to provide
a bright, new Acute Rehab Facility. A related phase of the
work consisted of the installation of a new Mechanical Penthouse
and HVAC equipment atop a nine-story building in a very congested
area. Placement of a crane with sufficient reach and capacity
required an intricate Site Access and Logistics Plan and a
high degree of sensitivity to ongoing Client activities. Close
collaboration with the Owner's staff enabled this work to
be completed on time with minimal disruption to adjacent areas.
In order to meet stringent occupancy requirements, Phase
I of the project had an extremely demanding completion period
of 47 work days. By forming a strong, well-integrated Project
Team and developing a detailed coordination plan, we were
able to complete the initial phase in 45 days.
