This new two-story 124,000 SF elementary school, located on a 15 acre site in Plainfield, Illinois, has an enrollment of 1,210 5th and 6th grade students. It is constructed of structural steel and masonry.  This facility includes 24 classrooms, five science rooms, two art rooms, computer lab, band and choral rooms, a 4,340 SF cafeteria and a 10,246 SF gymnasium.  The gymnasium has a Taraflex Sports Floor system, and includes a mezzanine seating area. 

Built on a farm field, site work included the excavation of 12 feet of soil to reach good soil bearing capacity.  The site includes parking for 105 vehicles, drop-off and pickup area and two ball fields.
