The new Langston Hughes/Davis
Elementary school will be located at 240 West 104th Street. The one
story 103,000 SF elementary school is designed for 840 Pre-K
through 8th grade students. This state-of-the-art school
includes 30 classrooms; Music, Science, Art, Library, Dining, and
Gymnasium. The school is constructed of structural steel framing
and exterior masonry material. The site includes two parking
lots, playground areas, and a hard surface ball field. The
project was completed in 15 months and opened in the fall of
2009.
