The new Belmont Cragin Area Elementary School is located at 2231 N. Central Avenue, Chicago, Illinois. This new 106,000 sf. three story elementary school is based on the PBC's Prototype design. Constructed on 5.9 acres the new facility houses approximately 900 students. This state of the art building includes a theatrical stage, science classrooms, visual & performing arts, physical education, a warming kitchen that will serve hot meals, library and resource center, along with administrative offices. The design includes parking to accommodate 222 vehicles for the new school and adjacent Hanson Stadium. The project was completed in August, 2009 with a construction schedule of 14 months.
