Quality Assurance Program

“Quality is never achieved by accident; it is always the result of informed intention, intelligent direction, sincere effort, and skillful execution.”

The George Sollitt Construction Company takes pride in its ability to provide specific Quality Programs tailored to each project's special requirements.  Sollitt's Quality Assurance Program begins with the establishment of the Quality Team and proceeds with the development of specific project Quality Goals, supported by well-defined implementation and control procedures from project start to finish.  The Quality Team for the project will initially comprise key personnel of the Owner, Architect, and Sollitt.  In later phases critical Trade Contractors will be included.

The Quality Team will follow established, in-house procedures to ensure the financial and technical capabilities and qualifications of Trade Contractors, the completeness of bids received, and compliance with bidding documents.  A comprehensive Master Project Schedule will be developed, together with specific control procedures for review of shop drawings, samples, and submittals.  In addition, a detailed, written management program including appropriate forms, reports, and checklists will be followed to ensure timely completion of all construction administration and control requirements.

During the construction phase, the Quality Team will hold weekly job meetings for coordination and review of project Quality Goals.  As construction proceeds, the work will be inspected on a daily basis by the Project Superintendent and “In-Progress Punchlists” prepared to ensure compliance with overall project objectives and requirements.  These inspections will also specifically address conformance with the Quality Team's Safety, Housekeeping, and Security programs.

Each Trade Contract is reviewed before final payment to ensure that all contract obligations are fulfilled.  This includes inspection and verification of installed field work along with all administrative documentation such as operation and maintenance manuals, as-built drawings, training, spare parts, testing and warranties.
