The new Belmont Cragin Area Elementary School will be located at 2231 North Central Avenue, Chicago, Illinois. This new 106,000 sf. three story elementary school is based on the PBC's Prototype design. Constructed on 5.9 acres the new facility will house approximately 900 students. This state of the art building will include a theatrical stage, science classrooms, visual & performing arts, physical education, a warming kitchen that will serve hot meals, library and resource center, along with administrative offices. The design includes parking to accommodate 222 vehicles for the new school and adjacent Hanson Stadium. The construction schedule is approximately 14 months, with the school opening in the fall of 2009.

LEED Features: This building will incorporate the sustainable design criteria required by the USGBC to achieve LEED "Silver" Certification, including 25% green roof.
